Kiev House of Nature Pt 2

Here is part 2 of my Kiev House of Nature photo-report. Here we see some nice sized Chinese high fin banded sharks or Myxocyprinus asiaticus. Ok, they are not fully grown, but still, they are way bigger than we are used to seeing in local pet stores.  Honestly, Chinese high fin banded sharks are more of a pond fish.  The can get carp size))).  They they actually do look more like a carp once they mature.  They can get to be 3 feet long.

They had them in a tank with Mexican blind cave tetras Astyanax mexicanus for some reason.  Not sure why.  But they did seem to get along very well

High fin sharks were kind of fun to watch.  There were always digging into the sad.

Here is a close up view

Here is the red belly piranha Pygocentrus nattereri tank.  These guys are fully grown and really fat)))

Look at these silly faces)))

Honestly, I dont get the interest in Piranhas.  They are really boring.  These guys were sitting in one place the whole time.  I mean, they barely moved.
